Achievement AwardsThe OCPSA Achievement Awards recognize the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of exceptional members. The program was established in 1981; the year of OCPSA's incorporation! Since this time, OCPSA has recognized dozens of athletes, coaches, volunteers and officials who support provincial programs.
Award recipients are prestigious individuals who have had a noteworthy impact on the Association and have positively influenced the lives of individuals within the cp-family. These outstanding individuals are honoured at a celebration of achievement, excellence and contribution.
AWARD CATEGORIESEdna Peace Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Senior Male and Female Athletes
This award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of a senior level athlete who possesses the qualities associated with performance and sport achievement.
Lou Legault Award for Outstanding Junior Athletes
This award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of a junior level athlete who possesses the qualities we associate with performance and sport achievement.
Coach of the Year
Coach of the Year award recipients are selected for their unique contribution to the advancement and well-being of member athletes by recognizing their dedication to coaching.
Joanne Bouw Award for Teamwork
The Joanne Bouw Award recognizes the outstanding teamwork by an amateur sport team (in which two or more people competed simultaneously as a single entry entity for one award).
"Builders" Hall of Fame Award
The “Builders” Hall of Fame Award recognizes OCPSA volunteers who have made a significant contribution to the growth of the Association.
NOMINATIONS:Nominations are accepted, by mail or email, from April to August and must include a written rationale.
Eligibility & Selection
- The nominee must be a current member in good standing.
- The nomination must be based upon accomplishments achieved within the period of April 1 and March 31.
- Please note that individuals can be nominated in multiple categories.
